Education

All men are not created equal.  Some were born to parents that used drugs, smoked, and-or used alcohol.  These children can start out with a disadvantage.  We are all born with varying physical and mental attributes.  And even if we were all “BORN” equal our families and environments are all different, some better than others.

Making yourself better

The main thing that makes a form of government work is for each citizen to receive an education that will help them rise to their greatest potential.  Knowing that they can make themselves better off than they are, and that their parents were, is the greatest motivation to use that education.

Each parent should desire a better life for their child.  Each child should have the hope that they can make their life better.  Discrimination can take away that hope.

Making yourself feel better

In the United States we are lucky to have “blacks”.  “Those people” are not as smart or as human as the rest of us.  That means we can NEVER be lower than the top 90% of society.  People in India are not so lucky.  They do not have “blacks” so they have to create a cast system to elevate themselves.  It probably gets difficult to figure out who “those people” are when everyone looks the same.  Another handy way to make yourself better is to have an entire ethnic group to be better than.  Ethnic cleansing should be used with discretion.  If you get rid of all “those people” you will no longer be at the higher level that you were.  (I hope everyone can see how absurd the attitudes in this paragraph are)

Left Behind by School Vouchers

I hope everyone can see how absurd the attitudes in the above paragraph are.  However, some people are content to use discrimination or prejudice to make themselves feel better off than they are.  School Vouchers are a more subtle form of discrimination.  They make the statement that my child is better and deserves a better education than the one they are getting with “those people”.

Schools are funded with property taxes.  If you live in a poor neighbor hood you get a poor education.  If you get a poor education you will have difficulty getting out of a poor neighborhood.  If concerned parents are allowed to pull their children out of a poor school there will be no one left to be concerned about the children who are LEFT BEHIND.

Blacks suffer the most from vouchers.  They are already discriminated against and are forced to live in poor areas because “Those people” are not as smart or as human as the rest of us and do not deserve a better job, and the poor education they get not only enforces that attitude but it is a self fulfilling prophesy.

Each person must be allowed to start out with the best education, and be as free as possible from any kind of discrimination.  Good government can not tolerate any policy that divides its citizens.
